Primary Verses:
-
Deuteronomy 26:12-15
-
"When thou hast made an end of
tithing all the tithes of thine increase the third year,
which is the year of tithing, and hast given it unto the
Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow,
that they may eat within thy gates, and be filled; Then
thou shalt say before YHVH thy God, I have brought away
the hallowed things out of mine house, and also have
given them unto the Levite, and unto the stranger, to
the fatherless, and to the widow, according to all thy
commandments which thou hast commanded me: I have not
transgressed thy commandments, neither have I forgotten
them: I have not eaten thereof in my mourning, neither
have I taken away ought thereof for any unclean use, nor
given ought thereof for the dead: but I have hearkened
to the voice of YHVH my God, and have done according to
all that thou hast commanded me.
Look down from thy
holy habitation, from heaven, and bless thy people
Israel, and the land which thou hast given us, as thou
swarest unto our fathers, a land that floweth with milk
and honey."
Supporting Verses:
-
Proverbs 3:9-10
-
Luke 6:36-38
-
"Be ye therefore merciful,
as your Father also is merciful. Judge not, and ye
shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be
condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:
Give, and it shall be
given unto you; good measure, pressed
down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men
give into your bosom.
For with the same measure that ye mete withal it
shall be measured to you again."
-
Galatians 6:7-10
-
"Be not deceived; God is not
mocked: for
whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap
corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of
the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be
weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if
we faint not. As we have therefore opportunity, let us
do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of
the household of faith."
